I'd prefer to hear from one of our own BCC'er's youth or adult! Get the kids on it. They're terrific at it! Praying for you all and miss you all!
I have lots of pics to upload, once I figure out how to do it! We've had two very full days! This morning we accompanied two of New Community Church's pastors on a prater walk through the community, culminating in a powerful time of corporate prayer at a local park. Each of the teams has been assigned a work project that we'll plug way at all week...some are coming alongside the local parks dept (today we were hedge-trimmers and fence-painters...who knew silver paint was so difficult to scrub off?!) :) and others are working at homes that have been long neglected clearing and creating yards. Today's VBS program was terrific--truly a culmination of our students' love for the children and the great God we serve! The children really engaged in every single aspect, from the games to the songs to learning the memory verse to the one-on-one time with the flipper flappers! And the sports camps have seen a great response and have had great small group times as well. We closed out our day by participating in the community basketball tourney that Pastor Ceasar set up--both as participants and as cheerleaders--and the time there opened up lots of opportunities to connect with youth and adults who were spectating. Pray for boldness as we continue to strive to create relational opportunities to show& share the love of Christ!
